Ayem History

	1. AYEM School started 20 years ago Late Sir P. John Keats with his wife P. Swarna Latha, the Charter or Founding Members of AYEM School. 2. The very first two teachers AYEM School hired many years ago. 3. The first year AYEM School had only 5 or 6 Students. 4. Originally our school was named as SIR ARTHUR COTTON MEMORIAL SCHOOL. (He is an Engineer from England who was involved in the building of the DHAVLESHWARAM DAM.

	5. School originally founded and started on Rice paddy fields. 6. Twenty years ago AYEM School's Children’s first transportation. 7. Two Decades ago, there was a temporary AYEM School in the unfinished Lankapalem Prayer Hall. 8. Around 2002, AYEM started from humble beginnings. It was originally a small house in LANKAPALLEM village. The class was organized or started from the VERANDAH of the house. Then it was moved again temporarily to this Sugar Cane Factory for a short while.

	9. First English Medium School in Kambotlapallem area. 10. Social Service work of promoting the English medium School for the upliftment of individuals through physical, mental and spiritual awareness of the children of this rural area. 11. For 2 years we were holding school classes in the Verandah of the house. 12. Then the Lankapalem Prayer Hall was built. Here the strength of the students grew to 25 numbers. 13. We rented a SUGARCANE REFINING BUILDING that was broken down and defunct and not operational. We refurbished and repaired the structure. In the Second year at this place, we adopted the new permanent name of AYEM that stands for Assembly of Yahweh English Medium School. 14. AYEM School continued at the Sugarcane factory till we grew in student’s strength to a healthy number of 250 bonafide students. Six/Seven year’s approximately at this factory. 15. Finally in 2009, AYEM Trustees started construction on the newly purchased half acre land at Kambotlapallem. 16. The Ground floor and the first floor of the new school was constructed without walls and we sort of had an OPEN AIR SCHOOL for a little while. The AYEM New School project was fully completed around 2015. 17. Small Building was done first.

	18. Then the 2 Storey new School building was done. 19. In the year, 2012, around 1.25 Acres of open land was purchased as the Government insisted on having open playground space for the students for getting appropriate higher recognitions from Government. Main requirement of open land was for PLAYGROUND SPACE for children and students. 20. Two years back in the year 2019, AYEM purchased another HALF ACRE of land that connected and completed the whole school land project. Now it was one full united piece of land. 21. PRE COVID times, we had over 300 + admission of students in our present school. 22. POST COVID time, more than half of the students dropped out voluntarily and dropped out of the school. 23. Today AYEM has student admission strength of approximate 160 Students. 24. A lot of ONLINE CLASSES were organized post the Covid era. 25. 2023: Very few online classes. All fully qualified in school teachers at the premises. Go to top
